To celebrate Karen's side of the family, we were invited to have lunch at her sister's house -- complete with homemade custard pie!

Karen and the kids with her parents and sister.

For Mother's Day, Karen thought it would be nice to give tulips to each of the honorees. Here, we use them as a photo opportunity.

We decided to celebrate Mother's Day at a new Chinese restaurant in Cerritos (Maccau Street).

Our dinner started with our dessert -- egg tarts...

specialty of the house, roasted pork neck...

crab soup with fish maw (stomach)...

spicy yee-mein...

special beef fried rice...

crab meat and tofu with "golden soup" (bad dish)...

diced squab and lettuce wrap...

chinese broccoli and roast pork...

and, for our last dish, we had a "pork meat cookie" -- a little salty, but good.
