Ngoc, a good friend from work, told us about getting in FREE to the Huntington Library in San Marino. Needless to say, we opted to go.

The Huntington Library is huge. It is surrounded by a rose garden, Japanese garden, children's garden, and a desert garden.

Walking through the desert gardens.

Didn't know that plants in the desert can be "works of art". Here's a few examples...

this...

this...

and finally this.

Group picture after the desert garden in the cool shade of bamboo.

Inside the art museum, we saw many beautiful works of art. We saw a finely crafted chair (Karen made me take this picture)...

stain glass windows...

the Blue Boy (a bit fuzzy though)...

"Pinkie"...

and, a bust of some man.

Outside view of the Conservatory where they house a make-shift rain forrest.

After going through that humid "rain forrest" inside the conservatory, we found a nice shady spot to cool off.

Ngoc and I resting in the shade -- what a relief!

As we left the Conservatory, we decided to go back and go through one "wing" we missed. Turns out there wasn't much in this wing except for maybe this impressionism.

As we were leaving, Karen gives a big hug to the watch dog at Huntington Library.
