What's all the fanfare for? It was Karen's good friend Barbara's birthday! We had to celebrate with her here at Disneyland. We had a great time.

Mickey was there and...

so was Mr. Potato Head!

A few people came out to help Barbara celebrate her birthday -- didn't know she was so popular!

We ate lunch here upon recommendation from my sister -- a little disappointing -- but, the waffle fries and onion rings were good!

We went on a few attractions. The BEST one was this one. We rode others too...

Small World (refurbished and enhanced with additional "modern" Disney characters such as Ariel),

the "exciting" train ride (Barbara wanted to see the Grand Canyon),

the Haunted Mansion,

and, Pirates of the Caribbean. Here, they sprinkled Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow into ride.

Right before we left the park, we even got to see a parade on Main Street -- awfully short one though.

My Mom never visited the Getty Villa in Malibu so we decided to change that. We picked a nice day too.

Beautiful tile work can be found throughout the center.

Nice fountain found in the herb garden area.

After the Getty Villa, we went back to Cerritos to have dinner at Sam Woo.
